Music is good for the soul and sounds beautiful when accompanied by organ music in a church. When the old organ at St. Luke’s died in 2010 it was a test of the faith as an organ committee was quickly assembled and the search for a new organ and funds to purchase began. With the generous help of parishioners and friends of St. Luke’s we were blessed to sing out ‘Hallelujah’ to the accompaniment of our new Johannus digital organ, as we celebrated Christ’s resurrection during our 2011 Easter service.

These days the St. Luke’s choir is going strong. Colin D. is playing the organ on Sundays and the choir is still being led by Bill I. The choir shows up and robes up every Sunday and fills our church with such a beautiful sound. If you are interested in being a part of this ministry be sure to contact Bill I. or the church office at (936) 327-8467.
